Parisian carrots in Camel CSA’s veg boxes
Posted on September 20th, 2019 No commentsParisian carrots are a miniature heritage variety shaped like golf balls, which are a gourmet treat in France. They’re best scrubbed gently and eaten raw. Children love them!
We also have the last of the sweetcorn in our boxes and the very last of the courgettes and patty pan squash grown for us all season by our head grower Mark Norman on his smallholding at Bodmin.
In all the veg boxes:-
*Parisian carrots
*sweetcorn
*tomatoes – red and yellow
*aubergines
*fennel bulb
*parsley
*courgettes or patty pan squash (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
potatoes ‘Wilja’ (Colwith Farm, Lanlivery)Standard boxes also have:-
*mixed salad leaves
*French beans or runner beans
*calabrese or red Russian kaleWeekly veg boxes camel community supported agriculture, Camel CSA, cornwall, local food, Parisian carrots, seasonal food, st kew, vegetable boxes, wadebridge, weekly veg boxes
