Asian vegetables and oriental leaves create more variety in winter veg boxes

December 18, 2023

It’s reached that point in the season when we have a diverse selection of vegetable crops ready in the polytunnels. They include Asian varieties such as the white radish known as daikon (mooli) and leafy greens like pak choi. In winter we also become much more reliant on other local growers to help us provide plenty of variety in the veg boxes.

In all the weekly veg shares:-
*pak choi ‘Vivid’
*daikon/mooli or radishes
*onions (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
cauliflower (Gluvian Growers, St Columb)
leeks (Trerair Farm, St Eval)
beetroot (Trerair)
potatoes ‘Wilja’ (Trerair)

Standard boxes also have:
*rhubarb chard
*spring onions or garlic
*sprouted fenugreek seeds

* = grown to organic principles.  Please wash all veg thoroughly
Produce grown by Camel CSA, unless indicated otherwise
