Ow - I'm really sorry to hear about the stitches, Ann. Hope the finger's getting better. As Charlotte suggests, I use my largest knife and hold both handle and tip to slice down the outside of the celeriac - but they can be real beasts to deal with. Hopefully worth the effort though!

Really sorry about the accident - hope you're now recovering. Use the biggest knife you have for cutting celeriac, I would suggest.

I made this dish last night, and although slicing the celeriac sent me to the emergency room to get three stitches in my finger, the dinner was just delicious. Just beware the celeriac!

Hi Anna

I think you've already been in touch with Cath, our membership secretary. I appreciate you live quite far from St Kew Highway and rely on public transport. However it would be great to have you on board if you can find a way of getting the box each week.

It depends on the age of the beetroot. If they are young and tender, you can eat the skin, ezpecially after roasting as it'll have more flavour. But most of the time, beetroot skin is quite coarse and tasteless, so I'd be inclined to take the skin off once the beets are cooked.

Hi there, after some years of using another organic veg box delivery scheme, I thought it time to become more local, so, after a search on t'internet, your community turned up. Being a non driver living just outside of Tintagel I was wondering wether I could join the veg box scheme, and also where possible drop off points might be. Any info would be greatly appreciated,
many thanks,
Anna

One of my extra sweet peppers was a pale green colour, the other dark purple. Amazing! I also got two red chillis (v hot) - there are lots more ripening in the polytunnel
