Curly kale is a useful vegetable in the Uk winter / early spring but what we like best is the more refined Tuscan &quot;black&quot; kale, which is Italian. We grow it during our autumn, but I expect you could overwinter it in Portugal, provided you don&#039;t live too far south.</description>
