Choose a one month trial or begin a regular order

    Select your bags

Examples of the contents of our various bags are available here

standard veg boxes (every week) at £36.00 per month
small veg boxes (every week) at £22.50 per month

It is possible to receive boxes every other week. This can be arranged over the phone (01208 812685).

The weekly boxes are ready for collection by 12 noon every Friday. We are in the gradual process of setting up shared collection points and some members have their own shared collection arrangements.

There is the possibility to purchase our own jute bags from us. These bags are from GoJute, a local firm based in St Austell, which operates to strict ethics.
The bags are available to standard box customers for the cost price of £5.95 each, or two for £11.90. It’s a returnable deposit, provided the hampers are handed back to us in good condition.

These hampers making the picking and packing sessions a lot more efficient as well as being very practical and good-looking. They’re lined and have sturdy bamboo handles. However, if you prefer to provide your own bag or box this is fine as well.

    Membership

We welcome new members who live within a 10-mile radius of our plot at St Kew Highway. Membership is an annual £24 per household (£2 (£1 concession) per household per month). This entitles you to order a weekly veg box and to share in the harvest

If you selected the month trial you don’t have to pay membership.

The membership fee supports the general running of the project. It ensures that veg box prices stay low and helps our professional growers to pay for costs ahead such as seeds and compost. In return, members gain access to friendly advice, training and social events with the chance to make new friends and to take healthy exercise.

    Concessions

Camel CSA strongly supports the philosophy that the benefits of our group should be open to everyone in our community.
We’re aware that some people may find it difficult to commit to an annual one-off payment of £24. We offer a reduced membership fee of £12 for those in receipt of means-tested benefits (not tax credits). Feel free to contact us for further details or advice about this.

    Holiday policy

When we set the prices for the bags (which are worked out annually and averaged out over each month) we assume that everyone on the box scheme will go on holiday for 4 weeks each year; and our prices reflect this. If we didn't do this, prices would be higher.

If you go away for just 4 weeks a year, then you will not have paid for produce that you are not receiving. If you go for away for longer than 4 weeks, and you let us know in advance, we can refund you for each week over the standard 4 weeks that you do not want your bags.

Please let us know whenever you go away - by the Monday of the week preceding your holiday - so we don't waste produce. We are not able to accept any later cancelations. Or, if you wish, you may arrange for a friend or neighbour to collect your bags while you're away and try the box scheme for themselves. If you do this, you don't need to let us know.
