We’re pioneering e-cargo bike veg box deliveries
Posted on May 29th, 2022 No commentsIt’s official – we’re the only business in Cornwall making regular use of an electric cargo bike for home deliveries. We’ve achieved this in partnership with bicycle couriers Mike Boucher and Damian Cudmore of Pedal My Cargo in Wadebridge. They deliver more than 30 veg boxes for us every Friday.
We continue to use an electric van for the remainder of our deliveries to pick-up points and homes in and around St Teath, Delabole, Port Isaac, Polzeath, St Minver, St Tudy, St Breward, St Mabyn and Bodmin.
In all this week’s veg boxes:-
*broad beans or *rhubarb
*calabrese
*spring greens
*mixed salad leaves
*green onion(s)
*purple-topped turnips
*new potatoes ‘Casablanca’ (Mark Norman, Bodmin)Standard veg boxes also have:-
*calabrese or *carrots
*garlic scapes
can of carlin peas (Hodmedod’s)* = grown to organic principles
Please wash all produce thoroughly.
