For the first time ever we’ve got fenugreek sprouts in our weekly veg boxes. Our inventive growers Mark and Bridget produce various sprouted beans and seeds to keep us going during the ‘hungry gap‘. This happens in spring when last season’s over-wintered crops are running out and this year’s veg, which are only just being sown, won’t be ready to harvest till May.

*mixed winter salad leaves (Camel CSA)
*purple sprouting broccoli or kale (*Camel CSA / Restharrow Farm, Trebetherick)
cauliflower (Restharrow)
leeks (Restharrow)
potatoes – ‘Wilja‘ (Colwith Farm, Lanlivery)

Standard boxes also have:-
*savoy cabbage (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
celeriac (Restharrow)
kale or *purple sprouting broccoli (Restharrow / *Camel CSA)
