Newly-harvested summer turnips are so delicious cooked or thinly sliced raw. They’re very underrated.

In all this week’s veg boxes:-
*summer turnips
*broad beans or *peas in pod or *spring onions
*whole lettuce
*new potatoes ‘Casablanca’
strawberries (Mitchell Fruit Garden)
asparagus (Tregassow Farm, St Erme)

Standard veg boxes also have:-
*rhubarb chard
*wet garlic
*fenugreek sprouts

*  = grown to organic principles

Please wash all produce thoroughly.
