All the protected summer crops in our four large polytunnels are doing really well – notably green peppers. basil, tomatoes, aubergines, cucumbers, and melons.

As a special bonus for all their hard work, our Thursday volunteer team enjoyed sharing the first of the ripe juicy melons for ‘crib‘ – their mid-morning break.

In all the weekly veg boxes:-
*tomatoes
*cucumbers
*salad leaf mix
*beetroot or *turnips
*potatoes
*green pepper or *courgettes (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
*calabrese (Camel CSA) or sprouting broccoli (Trerair Farm, St Eval)

Also in the standard boxes:
*basil
*red Russian kale
*French beans (Mark Norman)
