Cottager’s kale is one of our most reliable crops

November 30, 2024
One of our staple crops is kale as it’s so resistant to Cornish wind and rain. We grow several varieties throughout the year – Cottager’s, curly, red Russian, and black Tuscan (cavolo nero).
In this week’s veg shares:
*Cottager’s kale or calabrese
*butternut squash
*garlic
*Jerusalem artichokes
*can of carlin peas (Hodmedod’s)
Romanesco cauliflower (Trerair Farm, St Eval)
potatoes ‘Manitou’ (Trerair Farm)
Also in the standard boxes:
*onions
*swede
*beetroot (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
* = grown to organic principles. Please wash all veg thoroughly
