We’ve begun harvesting hundreds of pumpkins and squashes. They’re now ‘curing’ outdoors on pallets before going into our new cool store and into the veg boxes over the winter months.

We grow quite a variety and they have such romantic-sounding names like Jack-Be-Little, Crown Prince, Uchiki Kuri, Green Haikkido, Buttercup and Sweet Dumpling.

In all this week’s veg shares:
*aubergine
*green pepper
*French beans or *beetroot
*kale or chard
*cucumber or *courgettes or *French beans
*leeks (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
potatoes ‘Picasso’ or ‘Wilja’ (Trerair Farm, St Eval)

Standard boxes also have:
*runner beans or *French beans
*rocket or mixed lettuce leaves
*tomatoes
*apples (Mark Norman)
