*spring onions (Camel CSA)
*mixed winter salad leaves (Camel CSA)
*purple sprouting broccoli or kale (*Camel CSA / Restharrow Farm, Trebetherick)

It’s time to… plant a new hedge at Treraven Farm

February 21, 2019

The Monday team got stuck in on our new relocation site at Treraven Farm just outside Wadebridge.

Big thanks to growers Mark and Bridget and volunteers Bea, Charlotte, Danny, Darren, Finn, Helen and Tony.

The team put in hedgerow plants on the ‘bund’ by the car park, cleared more blackthorn and completed the rabbit-proof fence around the veg growing area.

The new hedge is full of native plants – hawthorn, spindle, guelder rose, dogwood, wild rose and hazel. And snowdrops!

Over the next 18 months we’re gradually relocating our polytunnels, growing beds, equipment store, solar panels and packing shed to the new site at Treraven from our current base at St Kew Highway.

It’s time to… install a rabbit-proof fence at Treraven Farm

rabbit-proof-fencing-treraven-farm-camelcsa-010219

February 4, 2019

Sadly, we had to cancel last Friday’s weekly veg boxes because of the sudden heavy snow fall in Cornwall.

Now the snow’s all gone, growers Bridget and Mark can carry on building the rabbit-proof fence around our new growing site at Treraven Farm above Wadebridge.

We’ve also begun marking out our first two vegetable growing beds on our field at Treraven, which is owned by the Gaia Trust.

Over the next 18 months we’re gradually relocating our polytunnels, growing beds, equipment store, solar panels and packing shed to the new site at Treraven from our current base at St Kew Highway.
