We love pakchoi. It’s such a useful crop as it grows so quickly and there are so many delicious ways to prepare it. Ours have a few holes in the leaves nibbled by caterpillars which have flourished in this mild autumn weather (we don’t use pesticides, remember?!) The wriggly critters have now moved on after ignoring the tasty, crunchy stalks – the best part in our humble opinion.
In the weekly veg box shares:-
*pak choi
*kalettes or *bulb fennel
*radish bunch
*mixed salad leaves
cauliflower (Restharrow Farm, Trebetherick)
onions (Restharrow)
potatoes ‘Wilja’ (Trerair Farm, St Eval)
Standard shares also have:-
*kale ‘Curly Winterbor’
*turnips or *cucumber
parsnips (Restharrow)
*= grown to organic principles. Please wash all veg thoroughly
