We’re having to adapt to more extreme weather events

November 5, 2023

As Storm Ciaran raged across Cornwall the safest place for our volunteers and growers was inside the packing shed, out of the wind and rain.

Thankfully our polytunnels stood firm and we avoided serious damage across the veg growing site. We’re all being forced to adapt to more damaging weather extremes from extended drought to fierce wind speeds and intense rainfall.

In all this week’s veg shares:
*pumpkins ‘Jack Be Little’
*garlic
*coriander
*leeks (Mark Norman, Bodmin)
purple sprouting broccoli (Trerair Farm, St Eval)
romanesco cauliflower (Trerair)
potatoes ‘Wilja’ (Trerair Farm)

Standard boxes also have:
*carrots
*mixed salad leaves
*cooking apples

* = grown to organic principles.  Please wash all veg thoroughly
Produce grown by Camel CSA, unless indicated otherwise
